Wiener Kongreß 2005

Wir rufen euch alle hiermit auf, gemeinsam einen internationalen
linksradikalen Kongreß zu veranstalten! Von 13.-17.5.’05 („Pfingsten“)
werden wir Wien zum Ausgangspunkt für eine politische und soziale Neuordnung
Europas nach unseren eigenen Interessen und Bedürfnissen machen!
Die Veranstaltungsreihe wird die verschiedensten Themen behandeln und zielt
auf (europaweite) Vernetzung verschiedenster Gruppen, Informationen,
Erfahrungsaustausch und die Diskussion politischer Entwicklungen und Inhalte
ab. Veranstaltungen und Aktionen im öffentlichen Raum sollen uns die Stadt
erschließen und auf unsere Anliegen und Inhalte hinweisen.
Durch dezentrale Organisation und Durchführung werden inhaltliche Freiheit
und größtmöglicher Handlungsspielraum gewährleistet, sodaß alle sich
entsprechend ihren Interessen und Bedürfnissen einbringen können. Auch für
ein angemessenes kulturelles Rahmenprogramm wird gesorgt sein!

In Vorbereitung befinden sich verschiedene Veranstaltungen (Workshops,
Vorträge, Diskussionen) zu folgenden Themenbereichen:
Unterdrückung (Kontrollwahn, Kriminalisierung, Rechtshilfe,
nichtkommerzielle Kulturveranstaltungen); Häuserkampf (Autonome Zentren,
Geschichte, aktuelle und vergangene Kämpfe, aktueller Stand, Erfahrungen,
Perspektiven und gesetzlichen Grundlagen); Medien und Kommunikation
(Unterdrückung im Netz, sicherer Datentransfer; Zeitungsworkshop);
Faschismus/Antifaschismus, (Theorie und Praxis, Faschismustheorien);
Migration und staatlicher Rassismus; Sexismus und Heterosexismus,
Antiglobalisierungsbewegung (Genua, Kriminalsierung); Anarchie; Tierrechte;
Drogenpolitik; DIY

Darüberhinaus in Planung:
eine Frauentagung; Veranstaltungen zu den Themen Linkskommunismus,
Trotzkismus, Arbeitskampf, Klassenkampf von oben, Entnazifizierung in
Ösiland, (politische) Situation in Osteuropa, Food not Bombs

Der Kongreß tanzt!
Fürs erste auf Free Partys und (Open Air-)Konzerten; darüberhinaus wird’s
Ausstellungen, Lesungen, Performances, Volxküchen und eine
Bücher-/Plattenbörse geben. Für den öffentlichen Raum sind vorerst mehrere
Kundgebungen und Aktionen sowie eine Demo geplant.

Ihr seid eingeladen, euch bei schon in Vorbereitung und Planung befindlichen
Themen einzubringen und zu beteiligen, oder natürlich auch eigene
Themen/Veranstaltungen vorzubereiten, aber auch logistische (räumliche,
materielle und propagandistische) Unterstützung ist natürlich wichtig!

hello
we are some people from vienna, who are really fucked up with the situation
here. The right winged government of austria has established their
repressive power for 5 years now. In may 2005, they celebrate the
anniversary of 50 years of the so called state treaty (sovereignty of
austria, retreat of allied “occupation troops”...), and 10 years of EU
membership.
Apart from cutting social systems, introducing racist laws and encouraging a
xenophobic mentality, which lead to the murder of several people, they tried
(and succeeded) to make life much harder for everyone who raises his/her
voice against injustice. Political and social institutions are highly
endangered, many projects depending on public subsidies faced a total cut of
their financial contribution. Migrants newspaper and advisory boards had to
close as well as a progressive netculture institute. Women advisory boards
and alternative cultural initiatives are struggling. Also those not
dependent on subventions are threatened by repression and economic
“compulsions”, particularly the only squat (EKH) in austria has been sold by
the communist party to some extreme right-wing speculator...
We know that these deteriorations are taking place all over europe,
everywhere we hear about the repression and destruction of progressive
movements and infrastructure.
Its another time to unite and fight !!!!!!!!
For this we are preparing a congress and different actions, please help us
and get involved.

Vienna Congress 2005

We call all of you out for arranging an international, left-radical
gathering together with us!
>From 13th to 17th of may 2005 we want to make Vienna to our starting point
for a political and social reorganization of Europe according to our own
interests and needs!
The meetings are going to deal with various topics and our aim is to create
an european network of different groups as well as an exchange of
information and experiences and furthermore discussions about political
developments and matters.
Events and actions in public space are supposed to open up the city for us
and will point out our requests and meanings to the public.
We prefer decentralized organisation and realization. This should guarantee
open discussions on different topics and the biggest possible room in our
activities, so that all people are able to bring in their own interests and
needs. Furthermore there will be space for cultural events.

In preparation are different events (workshops, discussions, lectures) about
following topics:

suppression (controlmania, criminalization, legal support, non-commercial
cultural happenings)
squatting (autonomous centers, history, past and present struggles, present
situations, experiences, perspectives, legal foundations)
media and communication (oppression in the net, commercializing, corporate
vs. indymedia, secure data transfer, newspaper & radio workshops, publix
cinema)
fascism/anti-fascism (theory and practice, fascism-theories, migration,
governmental fascism)
anti capitalist movements (protests, direct action, criminalization)
anarchy (theory, real life)
sexism and heterosexism, riot grrrls
animal rights,
drug policy
DIY (do it yourself, theory, practice, collectives)

furthermore are planned:
a women conference, events according the topics left-communism, trotzkism,
industrial dispute, class struggle, denazification in austria, (political)
situation in eastern europe, Food not Bombs

the convention is dancing!!!
first of all at free parties and open air concerts, also planned are
exhibitions, lectures, performances, public cooking and a book/lp/cd market.
In public space various meetings, actions and a demonstration are planned.
you are invited to involve yourself in preparation and scheduling ,
according to the topics, but also logistic (spatial space, material and
propagandistic) help would be appreciated.
