Für 13 Gefangenen muss eine Kaution von 2.500 Dollar bezahlt werden, für einen 100.000 Dollar. Der Staatsawalt erbat 14 Tage für die Vorbereitung der Anklage, und begründete dies damit, dass die Polizei über 61 Videos der Ereingnisse verfügt, die erst ausgewertet werden müssen.
Die Verteidigung hat jedoch eine kürze Zeit ausgehandelt und so wird die nächste Verhandlung am 30. Dezember 2005 am Kwun Tong Gericht stattfinden.
Der Gerichtssaal war bei der Verhandlung am 23. Dezember voll. Mehr als 70 Personen beobachteten die Verhandlung, zahlreiche weitere warteten vor der Tür. Die Angeklagten wurden mit Beifall und Solidaitätsbekundungen empfangen, als sie das Gerichtsgebäude verließen.

14 Released on Bail

Today's court hearing at Kwun Tong has ended with all the detainees being released on $2500 bail, except for the Taiwanese detainee who is being released on $100, 000 bail. Thr prosecutor requested 14 days to prepare the prosecution, citing that the police has 61 videos to sort throuh for evidence. The defense has negotiated a shorter preparation period, and the next hearing is set for Friday December 30 at 2:30 pm, Kwun Tong Court.

The court house was full today with over 70 people inside. Several more supporters waited outside. Cheers and chants of solidarity await those being charged as they leave the court.
